Very fun toy for little ones and adults!Jun 29, 2010 My husband actually found this and a couple other toys left in an apartment after the old residents moved out. I cleaned them well and this toy still looks brand new.
My 8 month old girl has a blast flipping the little book back and forth. I actually wish she wouldn't do that, because I kinda enjoy the songs, and flipping the page changes the song. When the toy starts playing, my husband and I give each other a look and sing along. We enjoy the music a lot! However, I usually do keep the music on the lowest setting. My husband also enjoys starting either "Twinkle twinkle little star" Or "Bingo" and then playing the rest of the song on the piano keys for her (mind you, he cannot play a real piano lol!). So far, we have not had any issues with the pig as mentioned in some reviews, but we will watch for that. If it becomes a problem, we will use something to make the pig stationary and seal the gap. She loves to play with Bingo the dog and the ducks.
In all, I think this is a great toy, and I will update if I have to make any alterations to the pig.
Love this!Mar 15, 2010 I bought this toy for my daughter who was 4 months at the time. She is now 6 months and LOVES this toy. I find it cute and interactive. I saw the complaints about the singing, it doesn't bother us. We haven't had a problem with the swinging pig yet either. The only thing I will say and this goes for other V-Tech toys we own- they go whacky on occasions. By this I mean- This toy gets really LOUD sometimes- like the speaker sounds like it's blown. But after a 1 min it's fine. Who knows. I do recommend this toy- it's colorful and it's easy enough for babies to work!
Another toy my 1 year old lovesMar 07, 2010 This toy runs a close second in our house to My Pal Scout. It's one of my son's favorite toys and one he turns to a lot. I don't mind the sounds on it, but seeing as he is my 4th and there have been a lot of annoying toys come through my house a) this one isn't bad b) I've learned how to tune it out. :) I actually love sitting down with him this one and pushing buttons, moving animals, etc. We got this one for Christmas for him and I'm glad we did.
Long Lasting Fun and DurabilityFeb 10, 2010 Love this product! It's great for educational purposes: Teaches colors, music, numbers, and skills like turning pages of a book, finding...etc. This keeps my little ones attention for at least 10-20 minutes at a time. And when she starts to fade out of the toy, it gives her a little voice nudge to come and play with it some more! The small one page hard book that is in the middle was perfect to introduce her to turning actual book pages and the durability of the product is bar-none. She likes to turn it on it's back side slamming it down on the hard wood floor multiple times in the day and it's still strong (unlike my nice hard wood floors!)
Decent toy, but kind of spasticAug 14, 2009 Maybe it is because my five month old is playing with it and it is rated for 9 months+, but this toy seems to enforce a short attention span. Everytime she touches a button the toy completes switches gears. I have never heard a complete song, just "Old Mac . . .Red, red like the . . .Let's play and learn with . . . Mary had a . . ." You get the point. BUT, she does seem to like it quite a bit. We've not had a finger get stuck yet. We bought ours at a thrift store, so it was definitely worth the $4 I paid for it.
