Great sterilizer for the priceJul 04, 2006

I bought this sterilizer not knowing what to expect and I was suprised. It works very well and is quick and easy. With a young newborn that is very important. It holds 4 bottles and the accessories. It only takes 4 mintues in the microwave, 2 minutes to cool, and it's done. Couldn't be easier. I would not waste $$ on more expensive sterilizers when this will do the job.

Excellent!Feb 16, 2008
By E. Mills If you will be pumping at all, this is a must. It is large and will hold everything from a pumping session (plus bottles/nipples/pacifiers). You can use a dishwasher to sterilize, but that seems wasteful to me to run a dishwasher just to sterilize when a 5 minute run in the microwave with only a few ounces of water will do it. No need to get a unit that is more expensive. I'm not sure about this unit fitting larger bottles, you may have to use First Years bottle for it to work. There are cut outs on the bottom of the sterilizer tray for longer bottles, but if you are using a different brand than the cuts may not fit.

Will use with my 2nd childMar 19, 2009
By Chris I found this to be an efficient sterilizer. I've had if for over a year and I used it a lot. However, the bottles that come with this are NOT BPA free, so if you buy this, throw out the bottles. I found out about BPA after my first child was just done using bottles and I used the ones that came with the sterilizer. SO, if you are safety aware like I now am I would not use the Soothie bottles. I will be throwing out all of mine.

easy and quick!Jul 07, 2009
By em_theMom I was online looking for a sterilizer to use to clean nebulizer (inhalation machine) accessories, not bottles. In Germany where I live, I had never seen a sterilizer for the microwave. This one seemed the best, and after buying it it is indeed very spacious and not just set up for bottles, which it surely does like magic, but because it is open and not full of holders (they are removeable) I could lay even toys in it to sterlize if I want. And because it is for the microwave, I can take it back to Germany with me! (where the electicity is different than in the USA, which is why I couldn't bring my plug-in unit from Germany to the USA in the first place.) I like the lid and the drying tray too. I just lay the lid upside down and swap the drying tray into the lid, then take the base and dump the extra water out in the sink. Nothing has to touch the counter!
