So Soft and cuddlyAug 30, 2008
By Mom We've purchased 8 of these in total with 2 in active 'service'. It's our daughter's special toy. She's almost 4 and still takes them to bed. We've lost a few in shopping malls and supermarkets, glad we could buy more online. Don't expect to retrieve these in lost n found, no one finds and returns these, too cute.
We've machine washed them and also dried in the dryer many times. The squeaker doesn't survive this treatment after several times but the puppy remains soft and cuddly.

So good we're on #2Nov 15, 2010
By Liz E We purchased this item, originally, three years ago when our first baby was born. She has been glued to it ever since and we bought this lastest one as a back-up dog should we loose the original one on our latest vacation. Three years on, Spunky (or Scruffy as we call him) no longer barks, is considerably less 'plush' and looks a little worse for wear but... he is still fully in tact, no rips nor tears and has been through the wash almost weekly since we got him. He is also a lovely size and, as I mentioned previously, we don't go anywhere without him. I can recommend using a juice cup strap as a lead - especially in doctor's offices!

Best Lovey EverFeb 07, 2009
By A. Sandness My son has been attached to his doggy since he could hold him. We've had 6 total, 4 living in our house now, they get lost before they wear out. I love the fact that they've been washed 100's of times and comes out looking great after every wash. Doggy does everything with us. My son is almost 4 and his affection with his dog is stronger than ever. I'm happy to have found such a soft and durable toy that been through everything from teething to playground accidents and they still survive.

My daughters favorite dogFeb 24, 2013
By Kell Let me start by saying we have the entire spunky collection, 2 medium, 1 blanket and 1 small. The small spunky we use as our travel spunky, my daughter is only 1 and it is the perfect size to travel with her. Unlike the other reviewers I actually like that it is hard to use the bark box... when she's in the crib it will never wake her up when she is rolling around in her sleep. However I do not like that because of the bark box you are unable to throw it in the washing machine... The other sizes I throw in the wash and 2 hours late they are back to her clean as can be... this one you have to surface wash and air dry and even then its hard to get really clean. Other than that spunky is the perfect lovey and for the price if I have to I will just replace it.

The kids love it!!!May 05, 2010
By Jane Austen My son loves this toy, takes it to bed with him every night, he won't let it out of his sight. He loves to make it bark. The only thing I'm not thrilled with, is the fact that its very hard to clean. Since my son takes it everywhere, it's filthy and needs to be washed frequently. However, the washing direction specifically say that you can't "submerge it in water". So throwing it in the wash, even on gentle cycle is out if the question (probably because of the barking devise inside the dog). The directions recommend surface cleaning only with mild suds, but whenever I do that, it gets soaked and takes about a day and a half to dry. (I have two Spunkies to alternate during drying time).
