5puzabits (hexabits)Jun 17, 2010

My granddaughters got a set of these several years ago. Since then I have tried to buy them around here and they are no longer available. So I found them on line. Every child who comes to our house wants to play with them. They are very durable, fun, help learning eye hand cordination, and also helps them to explore the possibities of what they can do with them. I had one Dad say he was going to buy enough to make a American Flag for his pick up bed. Great product. Not sorry I bought them. The set I bought is for my other grandchildren.

4great toy not great shipping containerDec 07, 2009
I just ordered three of these for Christmas gifts and wanted to warn everyone that if you also buy a set you might want to purchase a new container to hold them in. All three of the containers sent with my Puzzibits were cracked and one was broke so badly that I cannot put the items back into it. I would blame the cold weather making a the thing brittle but you can see that it was broke and someone actually taped it before shipping it out.

This is very depressing because the commecially sold version of these (hexabits) come in a heavy-gauge plastic tote.

I've wrote to the manufacturer about wanting a new container for each set so I feel I am giving someone a new item for the holidays and will update the post when I hear anything.

5neat - a great alternative to LAQSep 10, 2009
I bought this when I could not find the LAQ puzzle things they had at my daughters daycare. These things are neat!! Very flexible plastic and easy to put together. My daughters LOVE these - they are 3-5-8. My 3 year old does not put stuff in her mouth, so I can let her use these with her sisters. My daughters love to make animals and bracelets! The tub is HUGE! no problem with running out of pieces for several children. Comes with a paper with suggested designs.

5Fun for imaginative buildingFeb 10, 2009
We bought Puzzibits at Christmas and were thrilled with how much the boys played with them. They play with them in the car and at home. They are brightly colored, which adds to the attraction. They are much softer than Legos and can be made into 3 dimensional objects of any shape. I agree that they would be difficult for children under 6.

5Wonderful for kids at mutliple agesAug 23, 2008
I didn't buy this on Amazon. My mother bought some for my 4 yr old and after watching her and her older 12 yr old sister playing with them for hours having fun.. I decided to come online to buy a bucket of them. They are flexible like rubber which makes them quite sturdy for lots of play and gives them the ability to mold to whatever your kid wants to create. They remind me of a lot of toys I had as a kid all put together into one better product. Because they are easy enough for younger kids, but inspire creativity in older kids... they are nice for both. I'd say not good for kids under age 4 (the box says 6) and depending on your kid they're fun to play with at any age.. even I've enjoyed playing with them with the kids.
