Fabulous Transition to Big ChairFeb 05, 2010 My 3.5 year old has had a Kaboost for a year, and my 2 year old daughter got hers a couple of months ago. They can sit right at the table with no highchair, making them feel 'big'. You will need to teach them about not wiggling, which is a tendency, because they are 'free' to move. In the beginning, they may need help getting on and off the chair, but give them time to figure it out on their own.
This is a good transition to a big chair. The springs are strong, so you may need a 'third hand' installing it on your chair. You CANNOT use this on folding chairs - it will snap the chair closed.
Great booster!Dec 29, 2009 I have had two of these boosters for almost 2 years now and am going to buy my third. I have a 5 year old, a three year old and 18 month child. All three love the kaboost. Yes, it cannot "scoot" across the floor when installed. You have to give your child some assistance to move the chair, but I consider this one of its positive attributes.
My children love to move chairs around the house to climb and get into things. The kaboost chairs are too awkward for them to move around so it has made life easier for me!
I am surprised that others have felt that they are cheap plastic and have found parts to break. I tend to leave them on the chairs and have had no problem with them. I do think they can be removed quickly, but I have no reason to remove them on a regular basis.
The chocolate color blends in nicely with our dining set. Visitors are often surprised to sit down to the table and accidentally sit in one of the "high" chairs.
I highly recommend these as an alternative to a traditional booster. You will use them for years!
Kaboost is the best!Dec 28, 2009 We just purchased our second Kaboost so that our 20-month-old could have one as well as our 4-year-old. This is just such a fabulous product. It's great for when your child starts to resist sitting in a highchair or booster seat, and then it lasts for as long as your child needs the extra seat height. There are two different height settings, so you can have it higher or lower depending on your needs. It's also very sturdy.

great alternative to a booster seatDec 06, 2009 My son decided he was too big for a booster seat at age 3. This is the perfect solution. It raises the whole chair (and can be used with any 4 legged chair), so he is sitting in a normal seat but at the correct height for our table. There are two heights it can be set at (you flip it over). It stays on the chair and is quite stable, even as he climbs up the chair to get on it. The only problem is that it makes it impossible to slide the chair in and out, it has to be lifted up which is a little annoying. I know they were probably trying to make it as safe as possible, but making the feet with a little less traction would be nice. It did not even slide on our wood floor.
Love it! Functional, Attractive & Economical!Nov 04, 2009 Really love this product! We live in the city and the entry to our our townhouse opens directly to the dinning/kitchen area and I really didn't want some big bulky brightly colored plastic highchair to be the first thing you see when walking in the door! This is such a great alternative! If your child is young like my 7 mo old you might try pairing this item with the Phil & Ted's "Wriggle Wrapper": phil & teds Wriggle Wrapper - Black. This resulted in the perfect combination of height, stability, safety and security for our money. Now I can let my 7 mo. old sit at the breakfast bar with the rest of the family! She loves it because now she can see everyone and everything going on in the kitchen area and I can see her while I prepare meals and clean up. Also doesn't scratch my beautiful hardwood floors!
