Fits most children up to 6 months. Neck opening is not adjustable. SMALL fits child up to 40 lbs with head measuring less than 16 inches around.
Baby B'Air is worn by the infant like a vest. It is placed over the child's head, and secured by adjustable straps on both sides under the baby's arms. The third strap comes from behind, between the baby's legs, and buckles to the front with another adjustable strap. The excess straps Velcro neatly to the vest so that there are no loose straps.

BACK
The Baby B'Air can be worn as any other garment would since it is constructed of 100% cotton and comfortable to wear. After take-off, the parent feeds their seat belt through the loop on the back of the Baby B'Air, refastens the seat belt and tightens the seat belt. Your infant can now be held, fed and even changed while both parent and child remain securely fastened in their seat. The parent can read, eat or even nap knowing their baby cannot fall or pull from their loving arms. | | | Features: | |

Great Idea - Used Many TimesMay 15, 2007

"Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner"
I have been traveling with my daughter since she was born and she is now 2 years old. We have used the vest, probably 8 or more times:
When she was 6 months old my husband and I took a trip to Mexico and she was still nursing and on my lap. I felt great knowing that if we hit turbulance - she was attached to me.
When she was 7 months she went to visit Grandma with me to Florida and once again - it worked great. Enough mobility so she could wiggle and nurse but safe enough for me to feel better.
When she was a year - we were able to go to Maui and that was a long flight - once again we used it. And, we were never told by the flight crew to take it off during take off and landing although I understand you're not suppose to use it during that time (only cruising). The attendants seemed to think it was a great idea to have her buckled to me.
Lastly, there are enough adjustments on the vest to get a good fit. It may not be the perfect solution but IF YOU HAVE YOUR CHILD/BABY ON YOUR LAP - I truly believe it's better than nothing.
I ordered both sizes from babyplayroom and it arrived quickly.
Add On - I decided to add the sizing chart:
Small - Infant/Newborn
Fits most children up to 6 months. Neck opening is not adjustable. SMALL fits child up to 40 lbs with head measuring less than 16 inches around.
Large - Toddler
Fits most children from 6 months to 2 years. Neck opening is not adjustable. LARGE fits child up to 40 lbs with head measuring from 16 to 20 inches around.

A necessity for Infant TravelMay 21, 2007

I didn't worry about my baby slipping off my lap or flying out of my arms in case of turbulence. She was securely and comfortably strapped to my seat belt. We we both able to sleep most of the way. Lightweight enough to put in your diaper bag and won't overheat baby. There are two sizes, so be sure to get the right one for your child. (All the moms on the plane were asking me where to get one!)

Maybe for short flightJun 12, 2010
By studentmom This seems like a well-made product. It slipped over my 10-month-olds head easily and fastened snuggly, although the straps attached to the buckles shown in the photo are tightened and held in place with velcro, which doesn't seem as secure. The major problem with this for us was that we were on a long overnight flight. Even though the vest isn't bulky, the buckles were placed so that they seemed uncomfortable when she was lying down in our laps. Also the loop that attaches to your seatbelt is on the back, so your child would have to be sitting up and facing forward for it to work. If you plan to shift your child from place to place, or have them lie down and sleep or nurse, I don't think it would work that well. In the end, we used it for 5 minutes and decided it wasn't really helping. Not sorry we tried it, it just didn't work for us.

velcro can cause problems on bare legsNov 15, 2009
By Erin This does what it says and held our daughter quite securely when we flew with her. However, the strap that runs between a baby's legs is adjustable with velcro. This is a problem if the baby isn't wearing pants as you cannot line up the straps carefully enough to not have some of the hooks exposed. By the time we reached our destination, the hooks had rubbed our baby's legs so raw in one spot that she was bleeding (just a little bit, but bleeding nonetheless). You should also be aware that these harnesses are not approved for use during take-off and landing which rather defeats the purpose if you are using them to travel with an infant that doesn't have its own seat. We just used this when I was nursing our baby since we did have a seat for her (and she still had the bleeding!) and it would have worked really well for this purpose if we had just put her in pants instead of a onesie and leg warmers. It's unfortunate that the velcro rubs so much as the leg warmers made changing her diaper much easier on the plane.
