Horrible productSep 30, 2008

I had purchased an older version of Fisher Price monitor which still works well after almost 5 years. In hopes of getting a similar quality product, I purchased this Fisher Price monitor. It is horrible. Right from the beginning there was a lot of static in the monitor to the point that it was difficult sleeping with this monitor on. After 2-3 days the static disappeared. We were really happy until we realized a day later that the static disappeared because the monitor was not working anymore. We of course tried channel changing etc. but nothing worked. The monitor broke down on us within 5 days! If that is not a bad product then I don't know what is.

Save Your MoneyMay 08, 2009
By M. Newell I purchased this monitor for our 2nd child's room, after having been satisfied with the earlier "Sounds & Lights" model. The monitor is horrible. There is so much static that it is difficult to hear the baby fussing, and to top it off, one of the receivers' plugs is inoperable so I am going through batteries like crazy. I do not endorse this product. It was a waste of money.

Very Good reception!Sep 28, 2008
By S. Mendoza I received this monitor as a gift. The reception is great and it has a long range. My husband even use it to listen to music when he is outside (and the radio is 5 feet away from the monitor!). I highly recommend this monitor, and I love the fact that you can plug in the receivers (even though I would like it to be also rechargeable, so we don't have to spend money on batteries). A+

Great Monitor !! Great Price !!Aug 21, 2008

I have bought two other brand monitors and returned them both: Fisher Price privite connection and the Summer Infant secure sound both are worthless junk.
This is by far the best one I have found. The reception is crystal clear and loud and has a long range.
The only thing I don't like about this one is it does not have rechargable battery pack like a cordless phone.
I would not hessitate to recomend this monitor!!!

GARBAGE, and I'll tell you why...Jun 02, 2010
By Sam Archer THE GOOD: base monitor has a night light that my kids like to play with. It comes with two receivers. The cord for the base is pretty long.
THE BAD: Always has a low level of static. Can only hear my kids when they scream loud. When they talk at a normal volume the monitor doesn't pick it up well.
When we turn up the volume on the receiver (so we can hear the kids) we can also hear local AM radio (bad).
BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT BUY.
We loved the first version of the Fisher-Price monitor which is no longer sold anymore. With the old monitor, we could hear the kids whisper and ever hear them breathing with minimal static.
This new monitor is terrible.
I can only hear the kids if they scream.
Anytime a truck or motorcycle drives down the street, the monitors pick up on the vibrations and amplify them so you get a loud static rumble.
I wish I had done more research on Amazon before I bought these.
