blahJun 27, 2010 not good. The batterry on one never worked. The battery on the other one worked for about 2 mos. Lots of static. Just seem to be very cheap.
This monitor sucksJun 09, 2010 This monitor sucks. I have used it for 3 weeks and its already driving me crazy. Dont waste your money. The interference is awfull.

GARBAGE, and I'll tell you why...Jun 02, 2010 THE GOOD: base monitor has a night light that my kids like to play with. It comes with two receivers. The cord for the base is pretty long.
THE BAD: Always has a low level of static. Can only hear my kids when they scream loud. When they talk at a normal volume the monitor doesn't pick it up well.
When we turn up the volume on the receiver (so we can hear the kids) we can also hear local AM radio (bad).
BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT BUY.
We loved the first version of the Fisher-Price monitor which is no longer sold anymore. With the old monitor, we could hear the kids whisper and ever hear them breathing with minimal static.
This new monitor is terrible.
I can only hear the kids if they scream.
Anytime a truck or motorcycle drives down the street, the monitors pick up on the vibrations and amplify them so you get a loud static rumble.
I wish I had done more research on Amazon before I bought these.
Terrible static!Apr 27, 2010 My husband and I had to buy a new baby monitor about 3 months ago. The original Fisher Price Baby Monitor we had for over 2yrs and it was excellent! The new monitors we bought are terrible! There is constant static where ever it is sitting whether it is plugged in with the cord or using batteries. It also makes a high pitched squeal if we walk into our baby's room even if it is sitting in our room. We then have to race out and turn off the monitor. I would not recommend this model. I wish we could find the original model in stores. We have found it online but for more money but I think it will be well worth it. The model I would recommend Fisher-Price Sounds 'n Lights Dual Receiver Monitor which is available on Amazon.
Just pure staticApr 10, 2010 Like a lot of other reviewers, I also have a previous Fisher Price Sounds n Lights which works ok, not the best but gets the job done. I bought this one thinking for compatibility but it is pure static. I tried to orient it in different ways but it doesn't make a difference. Occassionaly the static dropped and you can hear something, but you need to crank up the volume to max, which again introduces a lot of white noise. Had this for 4 days - returning it tomorrow.
