About Columbia Sportswear
Founded in 1938, Columbia Sportswear Company has grown from a small family-owned hat distributor to one of the world's largest outerwear brands and the leading seller of ski-wear in the United States. Columbia's extensive product line includes a wide variety of outerwear, sportswear, rugged footwear and accessories. Columbia specializes in developing innovative products that are functional yet stylish and offer great value. Eighty-year-old matriarch Gert Boyle, Chairman of the Board, and her son, Tim Boyle, President and CEO, lead the company.

Columbia's history starts with Gert's parents, Paul and Marie Lamfrom, when they fled Germany in 1937. They bought a small hat distributorship in Portland, Oregon, and named it Columbia Hat Company, after the river bordering the city. Soon frustrated by poor deliveries from suppliers, the Lamfroms decided to start manufacturing products themselves. In 1948, Gert married college sweetheart Neal Boyle, who joined the family business and later took the helm of the growing company. When Neal suddenly died of a heart attack in 1970, Gert enlisted help from Tim, then a college senior. After that, it wasn't long before business really started to take off. Columbia was one of the first companies to make jackets from waterproof/breathable fabric. They introduced the breakthrough technology called the Columbia Interchange System, in which a shell and liner combine for multiple wearing options. In the early 1980s, then 60-year-old Gert began her role as "Mother Boyle" in Columbia's successful and popular advertising campaign.

The company went public in 1998 and moved into a new era as a world leader in the active outdoor apparel industry. Today, Columbia Sportswear employs more than 1,800 people around the world and distributes and sells products in more than 50 countries and to more than 12,000 retailers internationally.

5double jogging strollerMar 26, 2010
I LOVE THIS STROLLER!! I ORDERED IT THREE WEEKS AGO ONLY BECAUSE THE DOUBLE STROLLER I HAD FINALLY WORE OUT. THE ONE THAT WAS SENT TO ME WAS BROKEN SO I SENT IT BACK. IT TOOK ONLY 24 HOURS FOR THEM TO SEND ME ONE THAT WASN'T BROKEN. THAT WAS SUPER QUICK SERVICE! I HAVE ALREADY TAKEN OUT TO RUN! BOTH OF MY BOYS HAD A BLAST! THE PRICE IS GREAT! I LOOKED ON CRAIGSLIST, BUT EVEN THERE THE PRICES WERE MORE FOR A USED ONE. I WOULD HIGHLY SUGGEST GIVING THE COLUMBIA DOUBLE STROLLER A TRY!

4Held up great, many runs!!Jun 23, 2009
I've had this jogger nearly 2 years and it has been on many, many, many runs!! It is lightweight, each has separate sun shade and it folds up nicely. We even strapped it onto the top of the car when we rode the ferry to Maui last summer (when the Superferry was still running) just so we could run the board walk on our family vacation. I still take my 5 year old son and 3 year old daughter for runs in it! We have never had any problem with this stroller and it is a great value for all the features. The only downfall is that it doesn't come with a rain cover, but I think you can purchase one at an extra cost. Hope this helps!

4Nice Affordable Double JoggerApr 10, 2009
I've taken this out for 2 test runs with a 23 lber on one side and a 33 lber on the other. I'm very pleased! I only wish I had bought it here instead of at another store where I paid $40 more for it plus tax! For the price, I'm very impressed with the fabric. I love how light it is. My theory is if you're pushing a baby jogger with 2 heavy kids in it, you might as well get the lightest thing out there. I like the look of it, too, which is always nice. It folds easy enough very flat, too. I was worried the sunshades wouldn't come down far enough until my 3 year old pointed out the back is just velcroed so essentially you can pull it all the way down in front of the kiddos faces. The only downside is it's blue, which might not be girly enough for 2 girls. This is plenty for me and my 3-5 mile jogs twice a week or so. I'm very pleased with this, especially given the great price.

1Safety ConcernsMay 09, 2008
I purchased this item and returned it after one jogging run. When one child is in full recline position it is unstable and has the possibility of tipping, when both children are reclined WATCH OUT!!! This product is not SAFE.

1Nice looking stroller but very dangerousApr 01, 2008
It's like that saying "don't judge a book by its cover", this is a very nice looking stroller but the front wheel is very unstable, everytime I've gone over a bump the wheel practically came off, very unsafe. I would not reccomend this stroller to anyone.
