My 14 month old daughter has had her Baby Stella for a couple of months now, and recently became interested in trying to undress her. I decided to buy her a change of clothes for Baby Stella, and this one is adorable. Once I showed my daughter where the velcro is and how to undo it, she's been able to remove Baby Stella's hat all by herself, as well as undo the top of the sunsuit on her own. We have great fun taking turns "wearing" the hat: first on Baby Stella's head, then my daughter's, then mine. She's at an age where the hat alone is purely hilarious for some reason. Playing with this outfit has also taught her a new vocabulary word, "hat."
To my surprise, the shoes stay on REALLY well. (I have a lot of memories of lost doll shoes from my own childhood.) The elastic straps keep them on securely, but make them easy enough for my daughter to pull them off when she wants to. My only disappointment is that this set does not include the "sunscreen," as pictured. When I reread the description, I did notice that it wasn't listed, but including it in the photo is somewhat misleading.
On the whole, this outfit has provided lots of fun new play opportunities with Baby Stella, and my daughter is enjoying it very much.

I read all the other reviews before we bought this outfit for my daughter's second birthday. It is a great outfit and fits Baby Stella perfectly! We have no problem with the velcro on the shoulder straps, although you have to look carefully to make sure you are holding the ends of each strap, instead of the bow (which has no velcro). Will be good for eye/hand coordination for my daughter. The shoes DO stay on the baby's feet, but you have to pull the elastic straps up over the top of the feet when you put the shoes on. Don't pull the straps up the back of the ankle, as they will fall right off. No sunscreen was included, thus I gave it 4 stars for a misleading picture.

This is a very sweet outfit, and its made from a nice cotton, however the straps on the sun suit were not attached to anything - it looks as though there should be velcro there but there isn't so they just hang loose and the top won't stay up - I am going to stitch some velcro on myself but it's a bit disappointing. It doesn't come with the cream pictured, although I half expected that as it is not listed in the description.

My 21 month old daughter LOVES Baby Stella. She has taken this outfit on and off a million times and it is still in very good shape! Baby Stella is her favorite toy right now!
