This is a great first doll for a toddler. It is very soft and squeezable, well made and safe, with no breakable parts on it. It appears friendly and inviting - not scary like some dolls out there! The clothes go on and come off easily. I'd most recommend it for a little girl age 3 and under.

My daughter got this doll for Christmas two years ago. I had been looking for a nice soft doll that didn't make noises or require batteries since my daughter was just a baby (she got this one at 3years). When I found this one online, it was exactly what I had been looking for! It took a little work to find one (sold out most places, at the time), but it has been a wonderful addition to my daughter's collection, and one of her favorites. The outfits and accessories are cute additions, and sometimes find their way onto stuffed animals and other dolls. She is very washable, and easy to care for. And, in my opinion, it would be a great doll for a little boy too. As I speak, my youngest son (2 years) is sitting on the couch with her, cuddling and rocking her and playing lightning mcqueen with her. Cute for teaching dressing skills, and perfect for little ones of all ages (no small pieces or noisy, distracting extras).

This is my daughters second Baby Stella doll from the Manhattan toy company. In my opinion it is the cutest and most durable doll out there for a young toddler.

Baby Stella is a sweet, soft doll. My two-year-old daughter received her for Christmas 2008 and loves her. The magnetized mouth for pacifier and bottle is especially fun. Baby Stella is very snuggly, good for hugging.

My daughter's auntie bought this blonde baby Stella as a gift for her second birthday. I had seen it and thought it would be perfect, so I recommended it to my sister. I love that I can get the accessories for it for Christmas and birthdays to come. I have two daughters, one of whom is blonde and one is brunette. I am on amazon buying the dark haired Stella for my older daughter since they fight over blondie all the time. The one complaint that I have is that my two year old was able to pull the hair out of the pig tails the first day she got it. It is not designed to have the hair worn down really (looks a little like Medusa--haha) so I tied it back up with a couple of my daughters tiny hair ties. It really is adorable--I love the belly button and the tiny little tush!
